An opulent setting for grand celebration with UK Employee Experience Awards at 116 Pall Mall

116 Pall Mall welcomed events organiser Awards International for UK Employee Experience Awards final in May. The full day conference saw an agenda of inspirational talks from employee experience professionals, welcoming spokespersons from Bupa, Wave and The EX Space.

Making use of a range of spaces on our second floor, with our grand staircase as a show-stopping entrance point for guests, we utilised our spaces to cater for a variety of set-ups. We asked the team at Awards International, why 116 Pall Mall? Aside from the central location of the renowned venue, it was the beautiful interior that adds to the overall atmosphere of the event. 

The Waterloo and St James II Rooms served as the perfect refreshment and welcome spaces for guests to network over tea and coffee. With wonderful views overlooking Waterloo Place and plenty of natural light flooding in, these combined spaces set a grand tone to the day. As night fell, striking views of Georgian architecture lit up beyond original Georgian windows, creating a magnificent atmosphere for an evening drinks reception and paparazzi spot.

Perhaps our most popular space, The Nash Room, was used for a conference set-up  by day with a full agenda of topical talks, and then transformed into a glamourous Gala Dinner set up by night; the perfect scene for a triumphant celebration. Paired with our extensive on-site AV services, The Nash Room provided an awe-inspiring backdrop for the UKEXA™️ 24 Ceremony.

A delicious three-course meal carefully curated by our talented Searcys chefs, featured seasonal delights, highlighting the exceptional quality of regional, seasonal ingredients. To start, a smoked duck starter with grilled chicory, dandelion, toasted pine nuts, pickled beets and a sour cherry molasses dressing, followed by a main of cornfed chicken, lemon and ricotta tortelloni, with truffle and artichoke pesto. To finish, a delightful whipped vanilla cheesecake with English strawberries, mint tartare and black pepper tuile.

Guests danced the night away under the glistening chandelier after a triumphant day for Employee Experience professionals. A wonderful way to bring the industry together for networking, learning and a celebration in style.

The venue was very easy to navigate, which was a pleasant surprise given our initial concerns, based on the floor plan. Everyone we interacted with was very pleasant and polite. Although we were initially unaccustomed to the stricter rules compared to hotels, where we usually organise events, everything turned out perfect in the end.
