Platinum Jubilee Cookbook

A stone’s throw from Buckingham Palace, celebrate The Queen’s milestone at the official launch of ‘The Platinum Jubilee Cookbook’ at 116 Pall Mall. Taking place on Tuesday, 24th May, from 6pm-8.30pm, in the stunning Carlton Room, join the author, Ameer Kotecha, for a celebration of British food and drink, with canapés and flowing English Sparkling wine.

Ameer will be on hand to reveal diplomatic dinner party anecdotes through the years - the good, the bad and the highly entertaining - and provide contemporary stories of food being used as a potent diplomatic tool. Ameer will also be signing copies of his cookbook, featuring 70 recipes from British embassies and high commissions around the world, and a foreword by Their Royal Highnesses the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall.

Searcys Drinks Ambassador Bruno Pelletier created a limited-edition cocktail showcasing the best of British producers - Sipsmith London Dry Gin, Sacred English Spiced Vermouth, Berry Bros. & Rudd King’s Ginger liqueur, fresh orange juice, Angostura orange bitters and Searcys English sparkling wine.

Written by Ameer Kotecha, the book provides contemporary stories of food being used as a potent diplomatic tool. Ameer Kotecha is a diplomat, pop-up chef and food writer. He joined Her Majesty’s Diplomatic Service in 2015 and also ran a pop-up restaurant in London between 2018 to 2020.
